After living in our Nissan Xterra in the mountains of Colorado and saving money by sleeping in our car in South America, we’ve dreamed about an adventure that involved traveling the United States for an extended period of time while living in our vehicle.

We had a blast taking nearly a year to explore Southern South America but after experiencing the logistical challenges of driving in those countries, you realize that the US is particularly suited to traveling by car.Roads are excellent, maps are excellent, and the vast size of our country just begs for it to be explored in a camper van. In our case, we decided on the Mercedes Sprinter 4×4 and are working on outfitting it to accommodate our family for just this kind of adventure. Our planned departure is Fall of 2017.
